Vacancy Details:
We have a vacancy for a Procurement Assistant for the head office based in Rickmansworth. The individual must have confidence, flexibility and the ability to use their initiative. This is a responsible position with a varied work load. The individual must be highly organised and able to manage their time productively.
The responsibilities include:
- Communicating with suppliers via email or phone to place orders, track and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Chasing purchase orders
- Supporting the procurement and commercial teams
- Keeping accurate records of all procurement activities, including purchase orders, invoices, and receipts. Recording & payment of incoming invoices
- Responsible for conducting research on potential suppliers, comparing prices and product specifications
- Responsible for a range of administrative tasks, such as scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and maintaining filing systems.
- Packages: Excel, Word, Microsoft Outlook, Sage
Requirements:
Successful applicants will have prior experience of a procurement / commercial or financial assistant / administration position. Ideally you will have knowledge or experience of the construction industry however this is not essential.
Remuneration:
- £14-17 p/h (dependant on level of experience)
