The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic worker who is passionate about improving outcomes for children, young people and their families. Empowering and motivating families to engage and overcome barriers to change. To ensure that vulnerable children and young people are identified and supported so that they can aim to achieve stability, safety and permanence to enable them to thrive within their community and achieve their full potential. The work will include case management and direct work with children, young people and their families providing timely support and interventions to address safeguarding concerns and reduce risks.
The successful candidate will be completing Early Help Assessments and leading Team Around The Family (TAF) plans. You will also deliver a range of evidenced based parenting programmes both 1:1 and in group sessions to parents and carers.
You will work within the Early Help Team, and jointly with the Parenting Assessment and Family Time Team, Childrens Centres and Social Care colleagues. The Early Help workforce is responsible for creating and maintaining effective partnerships between the Local Authority, health, Schools and the Voluntary Sector.
The team and post are based within High Peak and North Dales. The post base is Glossop, however there will be expectations to travel across the locality and the opportunity to work at our other office in Buxton.
