About the Role
- Due to a restructure of the finance department and consolidation of some responsibilities, a new role has opened-up as a Bookkeeper.
- The bookkeeper creates financial transactions and creates financial reports from that information. The creation of financial transactions includes posting information to accounting journals or accounting software from such source documents as invoices to customers, cash receipts, and supplier invoices. The bookkeeper also reconciles accounts to ensure their accuracy.
- The successful candidate will be part of a small friendly team of 3 people, where accuracy and work ethic are very important.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Customers- issue invoices to customers, reconcile incoming payments and prepare weekly collection reports.
- Purchase orders- initiate purchase orders, monitor approval status and provide the supplier with a copy of the signed purchase order.
- Suppliers- record A/P invoices and reconcile to existing purchase order.
- Prepare payments suggestion form, initiate payment approval cycle and execute accordingly.
- Reconcile outgoing payments, bank accounts, foreign currency exchange differences and intercompany accounts.
- Prepare, Reconcile and book monthly payroll.
- Prepare statutory forms and reports.
- Prepare periodic reports according to corporate guidelines and term
Technology Stack
- ERP system – SAP would be ideal, but other systems would be considered.
- Proficient in use of the usual MS products: Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams etc.
