About the Role
Lockheed Martin UK Strategic Systems is looking for an Senior SWS Engineer - Fire Control System to join our SWS Fire Control team. The successful candidate will become an integral member of the team, providing SWS Fire Control System subject matter expertise to support the Strategic Weapons Test Organisation (SWTO) at BAE Maritime Submarines in Barrow-in-Furness (some travel to other UK and US sites may be required on occasion). This combined team will be responsible for the build, test and commissioning of the Strategic Weapon System being installed in the new Dreadnought Class submarines. LMUK-SS personnel provide extensive and in depth SWS experience supporting of the testing, commissioning and setting to work of the Strategic Weapons System.

Required skills, qualifications and experience
- SWS (Strategic Weapons System) Fire Control System experience is essential

Test procedure reporting, defect isolation and rectification.

Support and documentation review.

Good communications and interpersonal skills.

Ability to build and maintain customer relationships with the confidence to debate technical issues with both Customer and Design Authority.

Willing to travel to other UK and US sites.

SC clearance will be required to perform this role.

Lockheed Martin UK – Strategic Systems (LMUK SS) is the single contractor providing specialist Waterfront In-Service Support to one of the Royal Navy's Submarine Programs. The company provides the Ministry of Defence (MoD) with safe, efficient and responsive support. LMUK SS, as part of the ABL Alliance with AWE and Babcock, is also responsible for the management of operations at RNAD Coulport. Looking to the future, LMUK SS supports the joint US and UK submarine design efforts.
