The Role
This is an opportunity to join our Business Technology Team as an Infrastructure Engineer to work on initiatives that:
- Improve the McLaren Applied Platforms and Services.
- Enable the business to deliver products on Internal & Cloud infrastructure.
- Develop and facilitate production and development infrastructure and associated tooling.
- Integrate third party managed services
- Provide support for Infrastructure and Engineering tools
You will need to be an open-minded technologist, who values a collaborative work environment and is willing to learn and explore as the fast-paced industry evolves and changes.
Principal Accountabilities
- Deploying, Maintaining and Improving IT Infrastructure
- Management of M365
- End user compute support (Windows, macOS, iOS and Android)
- Delivering Support for Engineering tools & Systems
- Automation of IT processes
- Monitoring security and system availability.
- Replacing and upgrading systems and services
- Deploy new systems and improve existing services.
- Perform routine maintenance and update documentation
- Contributor to the Technical Roadmap for the McLaren Applied Services.
- Collaborate and assist with end users to help design and implement robust and scalable infrastructure and services
- Knowledge sharing and education of team members to enable our culture of sharing and improving the team.
- Proactively monitor costs and security posture of the infrastructure and products running on it.
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience
- Deploying and managing On-Premise and Cloud Infrastructure
- M365 Management including Azure Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint & Intune
- IT Systems management 1st line to 3rd line exposure
- Hands on experience in delivering production quality services.
- Experience in supporting live production systems.
Required
- Experience with Identity as a Service and SSO integrations.
- Experience securing cloud environments.
- Experienced in:
- Infrastructure diagnostics and monitoring
- Windows /macOS knowledge
- Exposure with a major cloud vendor, Azure.
Desirable
- Experience in designing and deploying infrastructure solutions.
- Exposure to Azure Well-Architected Framework.
- LAN/WAN networking and IT Network Operations experience.
- Microsoft Certifications
- Engineering Tools (Jira, Confluence)
- M365 Implementation
- Infrastructure as code
- Implementation of automated build and release pipelines
Work Location
You will be based at Victoria Gate in Woking / Hybrid working.
