Location: South East London

Weekly Hours: Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:00


What we’re looking for:

    Are you able to motivate and develop a team of individuals using high level interpersonal, communication and leadership skills?

    Are you good at developing the profile of a team so that they can influence and encourage the behaviours across the organisation that mean risk is managed effectively?

    Do you have exceptional time management and prioritisation skills?

    Do you have extensive knowledge of statutory and regulatory requirements for building services and safety within a housing environment?

    Do you have technical qualifications in fire risk assessment Level 4 or above, as well as NEBOSH Fire Safety?

Here at Peabody, we have an opportunity for a Senior Building Safety Manager on a permanent basis at our Westminster Bridge Road office.

A bit about the role:

As a Senior Building Safety Manager, you will take responsibility for the development and leadership of a team of Building Safety Managers which will be responsible for supporting the organisation in ensuring that our fire and building safety responsibilities in relation to high risk buildings are effectively and robustly carried out and that our obligations to regulatory bodies in respect of building safety are met.

Some of the key results for the role include:

    Creating a Safety Case regime for our high risk buildings and management of risk by all contributing teams

    Support the development of a golden thread of information for our high rise buildings

    Delivery of an ongoing awareness and competency training plan for resident facing staff

    Reviewing works undertaken by Peabody’s Service Delivery teams to understand and advise on the safety implications and work with those teams to develop acceptable solutions which are adequately consulted on with residents

    Delivering a robust and risk-based approach to building safety which is proportionate and offers best value. Create effective processes for identifying hazards and managing risk
