Salary: £18,000 - £22,000 (Depending on Experience)
Role Overview for 3D Design Assistant:
We are looking for a creative & passionate individual to join our team as a 3D Design Assistant. We’re looking to expand the team with a tenacious, talented, 3D designer to help raise the Teams output and propel us forward in what is an exciting time for the business. The responsibilities include generating 3D models of our products or future products, 3D renders consisting of both still and moving media and assisting with multiple projects while adhering to deadlines.
To be successful in the role you should be detail-oriented, flexible and be capable of working in a team or independently where needed. Ultimately, you should be creative and artistic, with a strong working knowledge of industry-standard software.
3D Design Assistant Responsibilities:
· Assist in scanning company assets.
· Using 3D modelling software to generate texture, mapping, and other techniques to assist in creating visuals and animations.
· Collaborating with other team members to produce site accurate models which mimic real world application.
· Be able to review feedback from management/possible clients and edit work based on comments received.
· Review current and future works; to be able to suggest potential improvements.
· Generate 3D models that compete with hand sculpted models If a scan is not available.
· Active trouble shooting.
In order to be considered for the role we would like:
· A comprehensive portfolio of previous work or completed projects that demonstrate 3D modelling experience.
· A competent & working knowledge of industry-standard software, including Rhino (similar software will be considered) & AutoCAD.
· A Drive for visual aesthetics.
· An eye for, realism, texture, colour, and lighting.
· Good communication and teamwork skills.
· Excellent time management skills.
· Willingness to remain up-to-date on the latest creative software and hardware.
· A working knowledge with Image editing software like Adobe Photoshop or similar.
· 1-2 Year’s experience is preferable but not essential.
3D design Assistant Desirable qualities:
· Knowledge in Classic Architecture and an interest in Architectural movements.
· A working knowledge in 3D scanning. (Arm scanners, 360 scanners or other handhelds)
· Other software that we might use: SketchUp, Blender, Geomagic, Adobe Suite.
· Working knowledge of Microsoft office programmes (Primarily Word & Excel)
Personal:
· Generally, 40 Hours per week 08.00 – 17.00, Mon – Fri. You may be required to work additional minutes/hours, depending on workload and deadlines.
· Overtime occasionally available depending on workload and is not compulsory.
· Initial six-month trial period with mid-term review, then yearly reviews thereafter.
· 28 Days holiday per year including bank holidays.
· Travel expenses covered, excluding to your normal place of work. (CM35UQ)
