Housekeeping Supervisor
£25,500 per annum, (£24,000 + £1,500 per annum guaranteed service charge payment paid quarterly)

Barnett Hill is a beautiful Queen Anne style property, built in 1905, set within 26 acres of lovingly maintained gardens and woodlands, sitting in the heart of the Surrey Hill area of outstanding natural beauty just outside Guildford, Surrey. This idyllic location is 15 minutes from Guildford town and 45 mins from Central London.
4 Star, 2AA rosette restaurant, 56 bedroom hotel together with conference and banqueting facilities up to 120 all within the grounds of 26 acres of woodland and beautiful gardens. The hotel has The Oak Room restaurant awarded 2 AA rosettes and the 1905 Bar and Café for more informal dining, with sunny outside terraces for summer service outdoors. Afternoon Tea is a really popular choice for residents and visitors with a variety of menus to suit every taste and occasion.
The Role
An experienced Housekeeping Supervisor reporting to our Housekeeping Manager to ensure excellent standards of cleanliness throughout the hotel. Supervising a team of permanent and casual employees to ensure all rooms, bathrooms/shower rooms and public areas of the hotel are cleaned and presented to the highest standards
- Supporting the Housekeeping Manager with the rota schedule and allocation of duties to Housekeeping Assistants
- Deputising for the Housekeeping Manager in her absence
- Support and training of new Housekeeping Assistants
- Checking of all bedrooms and bathrooms daily prior to guest occupation to ensure standards are achieved
- Coaching employees to ensure standards are consistent
- Get operationally involved in housekeeping and laundry as required to ensure all rooms are ready for guests checkin at 3pm
- Ensuring public areas of the hotel are maintained and cleaned to the required standard
- Ensure maintenance issues are reported to the in-house team to ensure they are rectified with minimal delay
- Shifts cover 40 hours, over 5 days per week including the busy weekend periods
Requirements
· You will need to be well presented, a friendly, efficient and energetic worker with a real eye for details to ensure our standards are maintained
· Have a methodical approach to cleaning and be able to inspire others to achieve excellent standards and take pride in their work
· Able to motivate and train and coach staff to ensure standards are maintained within the timescales permitted
