About this role
The post holder will primarily work on supporting the Local Authority business stream developing and facilitating a wide range of financial and analysis for a range of services as well as the delivery of results and presentations to clients.
Primary focus is the support on business planning for Local Authority Housing Revenue Accounts and wholly owned housing delivery organisations. However, there is the opportunity to work outside of this scope on many other opportunities such as new registered housing providers and housing delivery options.
The work will include population and management of complex financial models for business planning and appraisals through the use of excel and power BI software.
To contribute analytical skills and techniques to consultancy projects across the team.
This post will suit someone wanting to commence their career across a variety of different consultancy roles in a complex and challenging environment. Experience of local authority social housing finance is not essential but the role will suit someone with a strong financial approach with an interest in affordable housing, asset management and regeneration.
To complete these tasks you will be trained on excel spreadsheets and other associated software.
About the Team
The Apprentice will support an expanding affordable housing consultancy team that advises housing associations, local authorities, for profit registered providers to deliver asset management, stock rationalisation, support to new entrants in the social housing sector, governance, local authority business planning and financial capacity and options appraisals.
How you’ll make an impact

When you are confident to complete tasks and modelling and support other members of the team and will become an important cog in the wheel.
You will be involved in a range of projects involving a number of clients and will contribute to new ideas and decision making.
With the potential to support the different teams within housing consultancy will give you a great understanding of how we deliver different services to clients and allow you to see things from different angles, giving you an all-round view which will help with your personal development and future career path.
Good communication and organisational skills are vital to succeed as an Apprentice. You will need the ability to manage a varied workload working as part of a team while also having the ability to use your own initiative, and be passionate about delivering the best service possible for your team and clients.
English and Maths GCSE grade 4/C and above is a mandatory requirement
