Your role
Are you an experienced Loan Closer with a broad knowledge of the syndicated loans market? Do you want to work in a middle office role within Operations that utilizes your skillsets? Do you enjoy working with clients, agents, trading desks, legal counsel and other logistical functions? We are looking for someone with these attributes to:
- provide dedicated support to the secondary trading desk
- manage the risk of open trades and take appropriate action
- handle complex trades
- act as point of escalation
- oversee vendor and nearshore service providers
- manage waivers and amendment related to the traded loan portfolio
- facilitate the settlement of primary syndication trades where UBS acts as fronting bank / mandated lead arranger

Your team
Global Loan Services is UBS’s loans support team in the Investment Bank. We are a diverse team of circa 50 loan professionals with a presence in 5 countries. As part of the Investment Bank we provide direct support to all UBS Investment Bank businesses that originate or trade the loan product sharing our knowledge and expertise in order to deliver solutions based support. You will be working as part of a small London team with a broad scope of responsibilities related to the loan product. Your expertise
- ideally 8+ years of work experience, the majority of which in a finance sector firm with a loans focus
- 5+ years par loan closing experience
- distressed closing experience would be an advantage
- solid understanding of LMA loan documentation
- strong syndicated loans knowledge in the European market
- an understanding of operational risk
- a desire to simplify and deliver process efficiencies
