Anglia Learning and Teaching create positive educational change by providing leadership, educational development and targeted support for initiatives, activities and projects, which initiate change and promote evidence-informed policy and best practice in learning, teaching and assessment in alignment with our Education Strategy and institutional strategies: Designing our Future 2017-2026 and ARU Digital Strategy 2019-2023.

The Academic Developer (Digital Learning) will be responsible for the development and delivery of high-quality support materials and CPD sessions on a range of digital focused pedagogies and educational practices. The role will involve collaboration with members of the Anglia Learning and Teaching team, as well as faculty and IT colleagues to promote and support the development of digital fluency in staff and students, alongside encouraging the appropriate and innovative use of digital tools to support learning and teaching.

We invite applications from experienced academic/educational developers with an interest in digital learning, and also from Higher Education professionals who have built academic development skills through their work and practice and would like to move into an academic development role. The successful candidate will be educated at degree plus level, will have a teaching or other relevant qualification and will have a PhD or a professional doctorate or working towards completion of this. They’ll have excellent written and oral communication skills and will have highly developed digital skills with a sound knowledge of Microsoft 365 and expertise in the use of a range of digital media and technologies, including Virtual Learning Environments.
