Emerging Voices (emergingvoices.co.uk) is a quarterly online webzine, now in its fifth year. Our art, poetry and essays combine personal with political commentary. We also host online events on Zoom.
We’re looking for a freelancer to take on our content management. The role will involve social media outreach and web design as well as some editorial assistance, with a minimum of ten hours work a month. Pay will be commensurate with experience but not a huge plus – we’re looking for someone keen to gain experience in an up-and-coming publication.
Key responsibilities:
- Posting to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn every week
- Posting to Eventbrite and managing attendees
- Preparing email campaigns
- Uploading podcasts (Spotify)
- Web design for the quarterly issue
- Proofreading final copy for the magazine
- Google and Facebook advertising
There is also the opportunity to get involved in audio editing and to contribute to the magazine.
Ideal skills:
- Social Media / tech savvy
- Experience using Wix; understanding of SEO techniques
- Excellent written English
Ideal qualities:
- Interest in politics, art and culture
- Self-motivated
- Able to work independently and remotely
