REFUSE COLLECTOR/ LOADER (2 positions)
GRADE C - £ 21,575 to £22,369
HOURS PER WEEK - 37
An opportunity has arisen for two Refuse Collector/Loaders within Waste and Recycling Services which is part of the Environmental and Community Services Directorate.
The main duties will involve:
- Collecting residual, recycling and garden waste contained in wheeled bins and waste for recycling contained in the Councils green recycling bags
- Delivering or collecting wheeled bins
- Collecting clinical waste
- Collecting bulky items and white goods.
You will have experience of working within a refuse and recycling collection service and must be able to operate effectively as part of a team. You will be expected to follow instructions, provide a high quality service and display a courteous attitude towards members of the public at all times.
This is a physically demanding role in which you will be required to walk long distances in all weather conditions. You should therefore possess a reasonable level of fitness.
These posts are 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday inclusive.
