Field Service Engineer / Birmingham

solutions. Our typical markets are metal producers, stockists, & associated
engineering applications. KASTO Ltd service department covers the whole of the
UK, including Northern and Southern Ireland. Full technical support and backup

We have opportunities available in the North / Midlands / South to join our busy service team.

Tasks

\[ Applicable to both sawing and storage equipment that we produce. ]

• Fault finding and diagnosis
• Reactive breakdowns
• Planned maintenance and routine servicing
• Unplanned maintenance
• Component replacement
• Installation and commissioning
• Operator training and handover
• Administration and reporting

• Mobile / field based position
• Home based
• Flexible approach towards overtime and overnight stays when work dictates
• Multi skilled required, but electrical bias is preferred
• Knowledge of electrical, electronics, PLC \[ Seimens S5/S7 ] mechanical, hydraulics,

• High level technical or professional qualifications \[ e.g. HNC / HND ] or demonstrable competency such as an apprenticeship
• IT literate
• Consideration and professionalism towards dealing with customers
• Ability to work with the existing team of service engineers
• Consideration and professionalism in dealing with customers maintenance. Pride in one’s workmanship and work quality with good attention to detail.

• Basic salary starting circa £30K \[ Based on 40 Hour working week ]
• Overtime paid at time and a third after 40 hours.
• Performance related pay structure.
• No out of hours, evening or weekend work unless by exceptional cases and prior arrangement.
• Daily travel expenses.
• Company van. Of which private use is permitted but classed as a taxable benefit. Fuel must be provided for private use, receipts provided and mileage records kept.
