We are looking for a Terminal Supervisor who will report to the Senior Operations Supervisor. As part of the Terminal Supervisor Group will have a main role of organising and supervising the movement of all breakbulk cargo. This will involve a small team, movement of breakbulk using forklifts, equipment inspections/husbandry, customer quoting and administration.

Job Description:
Responsibilities
-
Supervise all break bulk handling activities for the heavy lift team and Terminal staff in accordance with the designated handling requirements.

Prepare quotes based on customer enquiries.
- Responsible for scheduling/allocating and managing the lift calendar.

Liaise with Senior Supervisor to ensure appropriate labour/skills are available for lifting and lashing activities jobs.

Deliver tool box talks/team briefings, ensuring that everyone understands the job requirements and complies with safety requirements.

Ensure allocated team are used in the most cost effective and efficient manner to meet requirements of all customers whether internal or external.

Act as Slinger/Banksman and assist with forklift / Crane lifts where necessary.

Responsible for Lifting Tackle:

Assist the lift team to ensure all lifting equipment is safe to use.
- Liaise regularly with appropriate stakeholders about equipment stock and issues
- Prepare for any inspections.

Record information on any/all relevant internal management systems.

Ensure compliance with all rules, regulations and accreditations relating to break bulk handling are complied with.
- Liaise with external supplier as required to ensure all appropriate lifting documentation is issued in a timely manner and meets legal and safety requirements. This includes but is not limited to Order Confirmations, Method Statements, SSOW’s, Job Sheets, Timesheets, Invoices etc.
- Code, process and approve of all department-related invoices in a timely manner including providing detailed analysis where applicable. Resolve any arising invoice issues quickly to avoid supplier issues.
Accountabilities

Deliver on key performance targets and measures for the department; provide weekly and monthly reports.

Carry out breakbulk handling jobs safely and within requirements of relevant legislation if applicable.

Carry out breakbulk handling within quoted value and timeframes, including capturing all chargeable services.
Job Requirements:
