Job Description

Job description

We are looking for exam invigilators / scribes to support our students during exam periods. Key responsibilities include providing invigilation for internal and external examinations, acting as a reader or scribe as required, and supervision of students using word processors. The role includes both invigilation for whole year groups of students and support for individual students requiring reader / scribe, as necessary.

This role has variable hours which will be confirmed and agreed with the Examinations Officer. Most exams are taken in November, December, May and June so availability during these times is essential. For more information please see the Job Description of the Twyford Trust website (link below).

We regularly seek to appoint exam invigilators, so we can arrange a start date to suit the successful candidates. There will be some training to attend beforehand.

Ealing Fields High School was opened as a Free School in 2016, and became part of the Twyford CE Academies Trust on 1st September 2017. Ealing Fields is the smallest of the Trust schools, with only 150 in each Year Group and therefore has a very compact community identity. The staff community is very positive, highly motivated and fully engaged in professional development. The school moved to its brand-new permanent site in Northfields in September 2020 and achieved a Progress 8 score of +1.34 with its first set of public examinations in 2022 which reflects our relentless commitment to providing the best possible education for all students.

The Twyford Trust comprises four schools in the London Borough of Ealing. The Trust was established in October 2011 to enable an existing School, Twyford CE High School, to build on its successes and look outward to the large number of parents who were eager to become part of its community. The Twyford Trust aims to deliver outstanding education in a comprehensive school setting, and embraces the Twyford School motto ‘Life in all its fullness’, encouraging students to use their individual gifts wisely and well. Supported by the London Diocesan Board for Schools (LDBS), the Trust is the overarching organisation which provides support for all Trust schools. The Trust has a highly evolved common curriculum which has been devised by staff within the four schools. The Trust is also the hub of a Teaching School Alliance and prides itself on the standards of peer-led CPD within a dynamic culture of self-improvement.

How to apply: Please visit the Vacancies page of the Twyford Trust website to download a job description and an application form: https://twyfordacademies.org.uk/job-vacancies.

Applications must be submitted to Recruitment at Twyford School by the closing date and time above. Applications should be emailed to [email protected].

The school reserves the right to research shortlisted candidates on social media platforms and the internet, and the recruitment panel may take this information into consideration during the recruitment process

The Twyford Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be required to undergo the child protection screening appropriate to the post, including an enhanced disclosure from the DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) and references from previous employers. For more information about the DBS please see https://www.gov.uk/disclosure-barring-service-check.

You will also be expected to sign and adhere to the school’s SAFEGUARDING CHILDREN & YOUNG PEOPLE and SAFE WORKING PRACTICE AGREEMENT which is available as a download on the school website Vacancies page.
