Salon Assistant

Job Description

Duties include:

• Assist on the front desk by answering phones and booking appointments.

• Greet guests and provide them with refreshments.

• Provide excellent customer service to guests throughout their time in the salon/spa and be attentive to their needs.

• Prepare guests for treatment.

• Shampoo guests hair, applying conditioning treatment and toner/gloss.

• Carry out express dry finish for some guests.

• Disinfect equipment.

• Sweep floors.

• Fold towels.

• Keep the salon clean and tidy, clean areas when required.

• Stock retail areas.

• Assist Stylists as required, this could be combing hair, fetching them what they need or assisting with patch testing for colour services.

• Use initiative and carry out tasks to a high standard. Help other team members where required.

• Attend service and product training as required.

• Provide information about retail products to guests to sell products.

• Present and reinforce a professional appearance always, in accordance with the dress code standards and salon etiquette.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 16 per week

Salary: From £10.42 per hour

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Overtime
• Weekend availability
