QORVO UK Ltd designs and produces integrated circuit-based systems for mobile, defence and infrastructure applications. The successful candidate for the position above will be working in our Cellular Products Group designing radio frequency integrated circuit antenna control products for cellular handset applications. The products include a range of high-performance RF switches and impedance tuners. The candidate will act as the Technical Lead supporting products during the entire product life cycle from product definition and design through product release to end-of-life. As part of a cross-functional product development team the candidate will support other essential disciplines including marketing and applications, project management, quality, characterization, production and test engineering. The candidate should also expect opportunities to contribute towards IP generation and advanced development for future products.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Layout of RF and microwave integrated circuits for the mobile communications market
- Floor planning and concept realization of highly integrated RF circuits
- Top Level and block level layout designs including circuit and layout verification checks (LVS, DRC)
- Full RF layout design and layout size optimization of CMOS and SOI
- Interface and cooperation with RF IC design engineers
- Responsibility for tape out process, data documentation and data archiving
- Independent interface with design engineering, foundry and manufacturing
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or similar
- 5+ years of relevant work experience
- Background in RF/Microwave engineering and experience with integrated RF circuit layouts
- Understanding of semiconductor process technologies like CMOS and SOI
- Experience with CAD layout tools like Cadence and/or ADS
- Outstanding Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
