Job Description
As the leading provider of legal support to the motor trade, we are expanding again and looking for a new person, or maybe two, to join our Legal Team. This is a varied role and we are interested in finding the right person or persons, with that something extra to add to the uniqueness of our existing team of 13 Legal Advisers.
You will need to enjoy using the law to get results for your clients and have experience within at least one of the areas on which we regularly advise our retail motor trade clients. This could be consumer law, contract law, employment law, litigation, health & safety, consumer credit, Trading Standards, GDPR and FCA compliance. Ideally you will have experience and knowledge in more than one area.
You would be managing your own caseload and taking your turn on the Legal Helpline rota as well as writing legal updates for our website and providing opinions to trade magazine and, if you feel comfortable, taking part in podcasts, delivering training and presentations.
Although you will be responsible for your own busy and varied caseload, there is a great team spirit, and we all support each other.
If you have experience within the motor industry that is a bonus, but more important is a positive attitude and a willingness to pitch in.
Our team all currently work on a hybrid basis sharing their time between our office in Whittlesey and home, but we are currently investing in a state of the art paperless system to enable remote working which could be an option for the right candidate.
We currently have two Trainee Solicitors in the team and so there may be a possibility for a strong paralegal to join us with a view to starting a Training Contract in 2024.
