2x Project Manager -Events Delivery Inside IR35
Contract Term: 9 months contract
Contracting Authority: UKRI
Location: Remote with travel
As a Project Manager-Events Delivery your main responsibilities would be to:
- Deliver and project manage the successful launch of a range of activities and events in 2023-24 to highlight the importance of the agricultural sector. This will include large conferences/events (both virtual and in person) with senior IUK staff participating, publications and PR activities, 3rd party supplier project management, and communications activities.
- Managing the project delivery for all events. The key responsibilities are, but not limited to, create the project plan, identify needed resources, monitor progress and performance against the project plan, identifying, resolving, escalating operational problems and minimizing delays.
- Identify required 3rd party suppliers and work with IUK central communications team to procure and project manage their deliverables.
- Maintain and organise budget requirements and spend, flagging up concerns when needed.
- Deliver and manage ad hoc projects required to enable the broader programme of activities of the agri-food team. These could be associated with funding competitions, reporting requirements, programme board of governance arrangements.
You’ll have relevant experience in:
- Previous project management of event and conferences
- A clear-track record of working within the constraints of time, cost and quality.
- Achieving results through influencing skills rather than direct control.
- Successfully managing multiple stakeholders with conflicting demands and priorities
- Working within public sector projects and understand approval and sign off requirements.
