Job Description

The community In-Patients service is based across three hospital locations in Cambridgeshire , Brookfields Hospital in Cambridge, Princess of Wales in Ely and North Cambridgeshire Hospital in Wisbech. These three wards provide rehabilitation to patients after prolonged periods of care in acute hospitals or whilst recovering from physical injuries. The multidisciplinary rehabilitation team delivers programmes of care to help people recover from their injuries, whilst helping them prepare to return to normal living, or make a smooth transition to long term, palliative or residential care.

1. Prepare patients and their environment for meals

2. Assist with serving meals and drinks.

3. Clean and make good patient dining areas after mealtimes.

4. Observing patients and reporting changes to professional staff.

5. Maintain a hygienic and safe kitchen environment.

6. Carry out general light cleaning duties as necessary to maintain a high standard of hygiene, comfort, and safety.

7. Report equipment faults and defects.

8. To attend all relevant mandatory training as and when required to do so.

9. To comply with all relevant Trust policies, procedures, and guidelines, including those relating to Equal Opportunities, Health and Safety and Confidentiality of Information and to be aware of any changes in these

10. To be aware of the responsibility of all employees to maintain a safe and healthy environment for patients/ clients, visitors, and staff.
