West Country Premium Venison officially opened its door March 2020, to bring premium farmed venison to the UK markets all year round.

Based at our family farm we farm over 700 Red deer and 1100 Romney sheep on a pasture focused diet with mixed herbal leys and rotational grazing methods. We are passionate about farming regeneratively and having a positive impact on the environment whilst ethically producing high quality Venison and Lamb. Our FSA licenced Deer and Lamb Abattoir and butchery is located at our farm, creating zero miles to butchery process.

About the role

This role is based at our rural farm in North Cornwall, near Launceston. You will be a key member of our team to ensure the growth and success of our business.

This role is ideal for someone who is looking for a new challenge that they can lead and take ownership of. Hardworking and passionate about selling grass fed, high welfare meat from farm to table, with the skill set and experience to take our company to the next level.

You will be responsible for

· Developing, and growing wholesale and direct sales in current and new markets.

· Following the entire sales process from sales lead to orders leaving our butchery.

· Implement new systems and processes to develop and improve companies’ efficiency.

· Managing and updating our website and ecommerce sales.

· Coordinate with our head butcher to ensure stock balance is maintained

· Planning and attending launch days, chefs’ visits, trade shows and events.

· Arranging and hosting on site visits.

· Sales administration, processing customer orders and organising delivery.

· Customer service and office support

Due to the nature of the role and the needs of this small business the duties and responsibilities are

not exhaustive, and all employees of the company are expected to help and support each other as the business needs.

Ideal Candidate will possess

· Excellent communication skills and comfortable and engaging telephone manner.

· Be a motivated self-starter with ability to work alone and within a small team

· Highly efficient and organised with strong multi-tasking skills

· Strong IT skills and competences to use and implement website and business software systems

· Sales experience preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Salary: £21,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
