Job Description
A member of the Spitroast floor team reports to Supervisors, the Assistant General Manager and General Manager. This role is made up of many varying responsibilities including:
- Greet and escort customers to their tables
- Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies)
- Prepare tables by setting up silverware and glasses
- Offer menu recommendations upon request
- Up-sell additional products
- Take accurate food and drinks orders, using our online system
- Check customers’ IDs to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages
- Communicate order details to the Kitchen Staff
- Serve food and drink orders with confidence
- Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems
- Deliver checks and collect bill payments
- Carry dirty plates, glasses and silverware to kitchen for cleaning
- Follow all relevant health and safety regulations and be aware of your responsibilities to maintain cleanliness and hygiene
- Provide excellent customer service to guests
About Spitroast
Founded in 2014, our director had climbed the ranks in some top kitchens throughout the North West until he decided to open his own place. Having grown up in Spain and eating rotisserie chicken as a regular meal out, the idea for Spitroast was born. We were a tiny site at first and from there on the business has grown quickly and flourished into the great business we are today and a landmark in Liverpool’s restaurant scene.
