You will be at the forefront of unlocking Tate’s recent history to the public, including sensitivity reviewing and cataloguing records of the opening and establishment of Tate St Ives and the expansion of Tate’s activities.
You will be managing a small team of experienced Records Management Officers to meet specific objectives when releasing records and assisting with Freedom of Information requests. You will have the opportunity to meet researchers when supervising them in the Archive Reading Room. Given the nature of the role, there will be an expectation that you will spend three to four days in the office. You will have the opportunity to participate in activities of the department as whole and visit other Tate Gallery sites on an occasional basis in relation to your role. There are excellent training and professional development opportunities available.
This role would be perfect for someone with proven experience in records management and working on Freedom of Information requests, together with some team management experience and excellent inter-personal skills. We seek someone with an academic qualification in records management or a professional qualification (from IRMS/CILIP) and/or equivalent relevant professional experience.
