The Pandora Inn is looking for an Assistant Manager or couple to help in leading our amazing team in the exclusive area of Restronguet. We are located close to Mylor, a small rural village on the outskirts of Falmouth and are approximately 20 minutes drive from Truro. This is a live in position whereby a two bedroom apartment will be provided, a fabulous opportunity although living above will come with an air of responsibility.
Who are we?
The Pandora Inn, having won over thirty awards during the past eleven years is a hugely popular pub and a grade 2 star listed building. It is situated on the water’s edge of the renowned Restronguet Creek and together with a bustling pontoon in the warmer months and a busy bar/restaurant operation throughout, we are now looking for a dynamic assistant manager(s) to complete our friendly team. We take pride in the service we deliver to all the guests and anyone who joins us will share this same passion.
The Pandora is part of a small group of pubs, restaurants and hotels based in the Southwest - www.innsofcornwallanddevon.co.uk. We operate a non-branded, individual style of operation for both food and drink, with a high percentage of the menu produced on site. The successful candidate (s) will work with the general managers to further develop and expand the business.

We are looking for an experienced individual(s) with sound public house or restaurant experience to help maintain our standards and quality in the future. It would be an advantage if as a couple one has significant kitchen experience.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience in an assistant management position.
- A passionate individual who executes excellent service standards.
- A self-motivated and all round team player who has a history of rolling their sleeves up and lead from the front.
- Passion and care for your customers and team.
- Ability to create a warm, welcoming and fun atmosphere.
- High personal and teamwork standards.
- Executing staff training programs set by management
In return we offer an excellent salary including pension contributions. Salary is based on working approximately 48 hours per week net of breaks. Compensation is paid if working more than 48 hours - either as time off in lieu or extra payment.
You will be responsible to ensure every customer is looked after and their experience is amazing. You will be taking orders, delivering food and beverages, hosting in the general manager’s absence and sharing your enthusiasm with all of our customers. Leading from the front is a must.
A joining bonus of £500 is awarded after 6 months satisfactory service. This is a live in position, a subsidised cost to living above the Pandora (an incredible location) will be deducted from your salary, which is to be negotiated at interview. You will be responsible for the council tax per month, there will be no charge for utilities.
