Job description
Corbel Conservation are one of the leading heritage contractors within our sector. We Specialize in the conservation, repair or adaptation of the nations historic architecture. Our head office is based in the town of Taunton, however our operations stretch throughout the South West region and occasionally beyond. We are fortunate enough to have the skills and knowledge that allows us to work on some of the most architecturally important buildings in the country.
Due to continuous but steady growth we are looking to appoint new members to our site supervisory team. The successful candidate will be joining our management team and will be responsible for one or more projects at any one time. Specific duties will involve, oversight, monitoring and control of of health and safety, quality control, programming, project commercial input, liaison and direction with direct and sub-contract labour, communications to and from the client and design team, problem solving, technical input, people management, maintenance of company image and profile and general site organisation.
As an individual you will need to be highly organised and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Ideally you will have some experience within the heritage sector and will have a trade background of some description. Being highly motivated and an excellent communicator is a key factor as you will be leading the on site team and reporting regularly to both head office and the design team in terms of progress, on site changes, contractual and financial matters.
To assist with all of the above regular support will be provided from the senior management and greater management team. In house and external training will also be provided as and when required. The successful candidate will be joining an excellent team and a company that recognises that its own success is determined by the success of the individuals within it. We are very passionate about everything we produce and are looking for like minded individuals to assist with our current ambitions and longer term plans.
