The Role
Our Warehouse Operatives ensure that all items are picked, packed and shipped in a timely manner whilst adhering to onsite safety requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities
-
Loading and unloading delivery vehicles, by hand or with a forklift truck.

Checking for damaged or missing items and then sorting stock for storage in the warehouse.

Taking goods to the appropriate storage space – perhaps using loading and lifting equipment for heavy goods

Keeping a careful record of the stock on the warehouse management system, so that it can be located quickly.

Picking orders using a hand-held scanner from the storage space and bringing them for packing, or to the loading bay for transportation.

Organising transfers and loading goods on to delivery vehicles.

Cleaning and maintaining the warehouse will also be part of the daily routine.
We are looking for someone with……
Mandatory
-
Previous warehousing / distribution center experience

Positive experience of working within a busy environment
-
A strong attention to detail, with the ability to work quickly and accurately to tight deadlines.

Able to work confidently alone and as part of a wider team.

Excellent organisational skills and a willingness to take ownership / accountability of work.
-
Resilience & patience to deal with difficult situations.
Desirable
-
Valid fork truck license
-
Fire marshal trained
