- Job Title: Assistant Accountant
- Salary: up to £30,000
- Location: Cheadle
- Working hours: Monday to Friday (Predominantly office based)
Agility is delighted to be working with an IT Support and Solutions company looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their team of 2.
They are looking for a highly motivated and ambitious individual to support the Finance Director and be responsible for the overall Management Accounts and Sales Ledger function.
What you will be doing:
Management Accounts Responsibilities
- Month end & year end management accounts
- Bank reconciliation
- Reporting using large data sets
- Work with internal managers to ensure financial interactions with suppliers and customers are effective.
- Work with our support team and account managers to ensure products are sold correctly and in line with company practices.
- Creation and maintenance of accounting processes
Sales Ledger Responsibilities
- Run sales invoices and credit notes
- Issue statements to customers
- Credit control including Liaising directly with customers and the sales team, to ensure customers pay within terms

- Ability to work to strict deadlines at month end / year end (holidays to be taken outside of these periods)
- An interest in technology and automation would be advantageous
Required Skills
- Sound knowledge of Excel
- Experience of working in an accounts team
- Experience of producing monthly management accounts
- Credit Control experience
Desirable skills
- Experience working in Xero (preferred but not essential)
- Working towards AAT
