The Role
Location: Methwold
Department: Engineering
Contract: Permanent
Hours of work: (NIGHTS) 4 on 4 off 18:00 - 06:00
Key tasks & accountabilities of the role include:
- With manager, manage workload and agree priorities.
- React quickly to all breakdown / maintenance calls.
- Maintain equipment effectively to ensure that it can be run to standard at all times.
- Ensure that detailed downtime reports are produced at all times.
- Communicate with machine operators to ensure they are aware of engineering activities at all times.
- Support shift engineers and off-line setters at all times.
- Work closely with all other departments within the business.
- To provide on-going training to necessary personnel.
- To monitor machine operation to maximise efficient running, utilising continuous improvement where required.
- To carry out preventative maintenance as per issued schedule.
- To order spare parts for breakdown response or stock replacement.
- A key player in driving forward the Company’s Health and Safety programme.
The successful applicant will have:
- Mechanical and electrical knowledge
- Professional qualification or equivalent in Engieering
- Desirable FMCG experience
- Previous experience in chilled, frozen or ambient foods would be an advantage
- A drive to succeed and develop
