Role: Occupational Therapy Assistant
Location: Bardon
Salary: £21,700 - £22,435 pa
Hours: Full time 37.5 hrs per week, Monday - Friday 08:30am - 16:30pm
NRS Healthcare employs over 1000 people and as part of our business we are leading supplier of aids for daily living to the public to support independent living via Complete Care Shop and Healthcare Pro. This role is within this aspect of our business.
We are looking for highly motivated individuals who can help us in our mission to improve people’s quality of life and independence every day. Our Occupational Therapist and Occupational Therapy Assistants are a pivotal part of the success of the service we provide to members of the public each day.
This role would involve supporting customers and recommending product selection based on customer need. Our customers contact product advice directly, via email, live web chat and by telephone or via another NRS route. For the right person, this post is very rewarding, and you need the skill to listen and establish information in order to determine what may be the best solution for someone.
We also support other NRS Depts when needed and direct customers in the correct dept. Product Advice and support Product Sales, content for the NRS Website, Training of NRS staff and the opportunity to carryout Social Care assessments under the supervision of a qualified OT.
What we look for in an Occupational Therapy Assistant:
Essential Criteria
- Experience and skills of working with older people or people with a disability
- Experience of working within a health and/or social care setting or experience of products to support independent living
- Good written and verbal communication skills is essential
- Effective organisation and time management skills
- IT skills
- Ability to prioritise your work
- Ability to use own initiative
- Positive attitude
- Willingness to learn
- Good interpersonal skills
- Demonstrable knowledge and practice of good customer care skills
Desirable Criteria
- Ability to deliver training under supervision
- Ability to complete and use spreadsheets (Excel) and other IT based reports
