Quorn are currently seeking a Senior Packaging Technologist to join our team our growing R&D team to be based between our sites in Leeds & Stokesley.
The Role
Our packaging function provides full support for various New Product Development initiatives, along with the development & launches of new SKU's, the design-to-print process and finally technical support for procurement initiatives.
This position will play a critical role in the technical management of Packaging Innovation and origination across multiple projects for Quorn and Cauldron brands across different territories and categories. You will be a key member of the packaging team regarded as the “go to” technical packaging expert, utilising your technical expertise to both lead and support project teams on all technical packaging aspects.
The successful applicant will have:
- Demonstrable background in FMCG Packaging Development, ideally with an expertise in food and relevant degree in a related discipline such as material science, product design, engineering etc.
- Background of leading packaging innovation programmes resulting in significant business impact via consumer delighting packaging innovation, sustainability leadership and quality/cost improvements
- Ability to commercialise a portfolio of food packaging technologies across a broad range of filling/packing equipment
- Excellent team player with an enthusiasm to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate/influence key stakeholders both internally & externally
- Understanding of the key business activities relating to the packaging design, manufacture, CAPEX, and evaluation of products to meet consumer, sustainability, and commercial needs.
