Junior AutoCAD technician/ CAD Overlay Technician- £20-25k-

In this role we are looking for a self-starter, someone who can learn quickly with the potential to develop into a highly skilled 2d designer.
The purpose of the role is to produce General Arrangement drawings and Detailed Design drawings for event and modular building infrastructure using AutoCAD, Inventor and SketchUp. The role entails establishing site or event specific requirements, detailing project specific requirements and illustrating in form of accurate technical drawings. Every project is different, with its own set of unique challenges.
The main duties will include:
Producing accurate and legible drawings using the AutoCAD
Amending drawings where necessary posy project manager site surveys
Working closely with the Project management team throughout the project planning phases and produce accurate and relevant drawings.
Working to deadlines and provide reliable forecasts.
Produce technical drawing sets for all R&D projects prior to implementation as a standard Cube product.
Essential Knowledge and Skills
Experience of AutoCAD in a construction or site overlay.
Knowledge of CDM and building regulations is preferred but not essential.
Knowledge or willingness to learn 3d CAD (Sketchup or Inventor) is highly desirable but not essential.
Analytical mind to be able to interpret site surveys and existing drawings and to make the job specific changes.
Excellent communication skills
Strong attention to detail striving for the highest levels of accuracy and quality in all drawings.
Ability to work well and accurately under pressure.
Team player who is also able to work well using their own initiative.
Highly organised, able to deliver work to the highest standard first time every time
