We're looking for a
Commercial Officer (
Contracts Management) to join our team based from Harwell, Oxfordshire. This role benefits from a
4 day working week Monday - Thursday with
Hybrid working, typically 2 days a week onsite.
The Commercial Officer (Contracts Management) will perform contracts management functions across the spectrum of actions associated with providing supplies and services, from capture through proposal, contract award, and all phases of contract administration.
This vital role will be providing business advice and guidance whilst coordinating with other functions to effectively manage a breadth of responsibilities, including contract solicitations / capture, negotiations, and contract terms, including fulfillment of related obligations. Ensure contractual compliance with all laws and regulations, and adherence to Delegation of Authority and approval requirements for proposals and contractual actions. Lead and support audits, as appropriate, with internal and external audit teams and agencies to support contract-related activities and verify compliance. Ensure final contract documents are consistent with agreements reached at negotiations.
Manage, provide guidance on and administer multiple, complex contracts and relationships with minimum management assistance:

Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the different types of commercial/contract models and how to use them.

Ensures Terms and Conditions compliance and define all risks and create and implement solutions to problems and issues as they arise.

Independently identify, define and implement contract revisions and improvements in accordance with normal procedures.

Liaison with internally, with customers and suppliers in support of above and provide guidance and advise relevant to assigned agreements.

Organise and maintain contract files

Ensure timeliness of all contract actions and contract close out.

Keep internal and external stakeholders appraised of current issues and their mitigation/resolution.

Responsible for ensuring flow down of prime contract commercial requirements to suppliers.
