1.1 JOB TITLE Leisure assistant
1.2 SALARY - National Minimum Wage
1.3 DATES Opportunities from May 2022
1.4 HOURS Up to 40 hrs per week, to include weekends, evenings
and Bank holidays
1.5 LOCATION Tamar Lakes
1.6 RESPONSIBLE TO Visitor Experience Manager
2. OVERALL PURPOSE
2.1 As part of the site team you will help with the organization, assisting of watersports and land based activities and with camping. Maintaining standards and safety to a degree of excellence as required by South West Lakes Trust.
3. KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
3.1 Setting up and packing down the activity equipment. Assisting with our hire and self launch facilities.
3.2 Adhere to South West Lakes Trust procedures.
3.3 Deal with enquiries from individual customers for activities, camping and angling.
3.4 Adhere to recognised Trust site standards. Basic ground maintenance and cleaning.
3.5 Assist in administration of activity, camping and angling facilities and keep amenities, especially toilets and showers, to a high standard at all times.
3.6 Assisting the campsite team with glamping change overs.
3.7 Assist in maintaining security of site.
3.8 Assist in maintaining centre and equipment to standards demanded by RYA, AALA.
3.9 Accountable to the Visitor Experience Manager / Chief Instructor for health and safety of colleagues, customers, contractors and self.
3.10 Perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Trust.
4 SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE
4.1 Outdoor recreation sport. Passion for the outdoors.
CAPABILITIES
4.2 A good level of physical fitness.
4.3 Ability to communicate in a clear, concise and polite manner.
4.4 A good team worker
4.5 Smart personal appearance and professional image.
Desirable:
4.8 First aid certificate
4.9 DBS
4.10 A knowledge of land based recreational activities, camping and an interest in conservation.
4.11 experience and competent using online booking systems
4.12 Current clean driving licence.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Salary: £5.28-£10.42 per hour
