Hereford College of Arts (HCA) is a dedicated arts college with a specialist focus on art, media, design, popular music and performing arts. The College seeks to appoint highly creative and committed individual to join the Textile Design course team. The BA (Hons) degree explores a broad understanding of textiles through materials and processes, guiding our students toward exciting and diverse roles within the industry.
With a renewed focus on innovation, collaboration and making, the course is looking to recruit a team member with professional experience in one or more of the textiles specialisms provided by the course - Print, Knit, Weave or Mixed Media. A focus on printed (screen & digital) textiles, knitted textiles or future technologies would be a bonus. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to developing the profile of the course and to delivering ambitious professional outcomes.
It is also a requirement that the candidate will be a demonstrably excellent and innovative lecturer with experience of working within Higher Education and teaching at undergraduate or postgraduate level. The posts include the management, co-ordination and delivery of Textile Design modules on the course as well as supporting the enhancement of the student experience. A postgraduate teaching qualification is desirable, as is Fellowship of the HEA.
