Due to ongoing expansion, Alten Ltd is looking for CMM Developer to join our team in Gloucester within the aerospace sector. This is a fantastic chance to join a fast-growing company with strong core values ofAccountability, Integrity and Service.
Your new role:
As a CMM Developer, you will be one of our consultants performing on one of our major engineering projects in the UK. You will also be contributing to our development and growth within the Aerospace industry.
As aCMM Developer, your main responsibilities will be:
- Develop and maintain CMM programs for all parts.
- Operate and maintain CMM equipment to ensure accurate measurement of parts
- Analyse and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and other technical data to determine the appropriate measurement methods and techniques.
- Perform first article inspections and final inspections to ensure that all parts meet the required specifications
- Collaborate with the manufacturing team to identify and resolve quality issues
- Maintain accurate records of inspection results and provide reports to management as required
- Participate in continuous improvement activities to improve the quality of parts produced
Who are we looking for?
The ideal candidate will possess a passion for Engineering, with a result oriented and proactive mind-set. The successful candidate will have the chance to work on several exciting projects throughout their career with Alten, developing their engineering knowledge as a CMM developer and a consultant.
Experience required:
- 3 years of experience within CMM development
- Working knowledge of CAD software such as Solidworks and CATIA
- Working knowledge of metrology software such as MODUS, Metrolog x4
- Working knowledge of CNC Program generating software such as Vargus
Qualifications required:
- Degree in a relevant engineering discipline with demonstrable experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £26,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
