With the Company’s continued growth and development, a need has arisen for additional support in the Sales team. This exciting new role will be key to the Sales Project Managers both internally and externally.
The successful candidate’s main role will be purely office based, being responsible for updating the customer database with all interactions with customers, making and receiving telephone calls, sending emails and following up after quotes and orders. They must be excellent communicators and have good people skills along with being about to keep accurate records. The successful candidate will need to manage their own workload and time.
This role will continue to develop as the successful candidate’s knowledge of our products and our processes improve. This role has a bonus attached in addition to the basic salary. This bonus is paid as a percentage of the overall sales bonus to further encourage the high levels of support and customer interaction.
This is a demanding role and the successful candidate will be expected to pick up ad hoc jobs throughout the day in addition to their normal workload.
Key Responsibilities:
1. To work within the Sales team, supporting them with maintaining customer contact, following up after quotes and orders.
2. Responsible for keeping the customer databases up-to-date
3. To keep the field sales staff up-to-date with activities in the office, as a main line of communication.
4. To learn how to use the various sales tools including the quote system and Sage accounts
5. To source new potential sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails. Make outbound calls to understand new customers potential needs and inform them about our Company and products.
6. Developing relationships with potential and existing clients.
7. Close sales and achieve sales targets.
8. Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest.
9. Ability to listen to concerns and handle criticism without taking it personally.
10. To develop understanding and knowledge of our products and processes
11. To work as part of the office team, aiding with additional tasks for the production team if required.
12. To work within the established sales and marketing team to attend exhibitions and meet with clients when needed.
13. To attend and contribute to meetings with field operatives and Directors.
Person Specification:
Educational achievements
· GCSE’s A-C, or 9-4 (must include Maths and English) (Must have)
· Any electrical based qualifications (Good to have)
Personal qualities
· Personable and friendly (Must have)
· Self-confident and able to handle criticism (Must have)
· Excellent telephone manor (Must have)
· Ability to prioritise and work under one owns autonomy (Must have)
· Drive and ambition to do what is best for the team (Good to have)
Work experience
· Experience of working to a high standard on all Microsoft programs (Must have)
· Experience in Sales or office-based work (Must have)
· Experience of working within a team (Must have)
· Experience of working in a high-pressure environment (Must have)
·Experience in the electrical field (Good to have)
·Experience in the Entertainment industry (Good to have)
