Semper Solaris is proud to be one of the Top Solar, Battery Storage, Roofing, Heating and Air Conditioning providers in California. We are currently seeking an experienced HVAC Director of Operations to run our Northern California operations. We have locations in Hayward. Campbell, Manteca and Concord. Travel will be required to each of these locations as needed.
This is a position for Playmaker only, someone who can create the playbook from scratch and then implement the strategy. This is not a position for someone that just wants to follow a playbook.
As the HVAC Director of Operations for our residential HVAC department, you will be responsible for creating and implementing all processes and procedures necessary to ensure that our department runs efficiently and profitably. You will work closely with our sales team, service technicians, marketing team, and customer service representatives to ensure that all aspects of our HVAC services are delivered with excellence and that department revenue goals are achieved.
Our ideal candidate has extensive residential HVAC experience. Having gained proficiency with the practices, policies, and procedures of the residential HVAC Industry through their hands-on industry experience. Candidates without residential HVAC experience will not be considered.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of five (5) years, of verifiable, full-time management experience in residential HVAC
- Strong knowledge of residential HVAC processes, procedures, direct cost management, KPIs, and systems
- Must embrace being constantly challenged to grow and improve operationally and professionally
- Passion for and prior successful history of building high-performing departments and teams
- Strong Leadership skills with the ability to build consensus and gain buy-in
- Demonstrate a willingness to take on new tasks with a general attitude that no task is too small or large, impossible, or cannot be improved
- Ability to travel to our locations across Northern California as needed
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for driving the day-to-day revenue of the residential HVAC service department
- Champion the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of all HVAC service processes and procedures
- Provide oversight and accountability for all managers ensuring they are on track to achieve revenue goals and within budget
- Provide timely, accurate, and complete reports on the operating condition of the HVAC department
- Collaborate with Ownership on long & short-term plans for company growth
- Work autonomously while ensuring expectations and goals are readily met and exceeded
- Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the HVAC department
Compensation is competitive with the position’s requirements and salary will be determined based on past performance and experience. The range posted in this job description is just a range and is open to negotiation. If you have the experience, we are seeking then we are willing to gladly compensate you for it. All compensation packages will include a base salary and a bonus structure.
