Are you passionate about becoming a Project Manager? Are you looking to progress your career while supporting the UK Armed Forces? We may have the perfect opportunity for you! Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S) and the Submarine Delivery Agency (SDA) are expanding our Project Management teams and you could be the person we are looking for.

You’ll deliver small projects, or elements of larger projects, using recognised project management principles, tools and techniques. You’ll also develop business cases and project management plans, and provide project support in the development of these documents for larger projects.

Growing your career as part of DE&S/SDA, we will provide you with diverse opportunities at the forefront of ensuring the delivery of crucial and significant projects. For example, evacuating people out of areas of conflict or meeting current national and international needs, such as those pertaining to Disaster Relief or current global support. You’ll be supported by your manager and wider team to achieve your career goals and aspirations with mentoring available to fulfil your potential and funding for industry-recognised qualifications.

What do Project Managers do in DE&S/SDA?

Project Managers are accountable leaders for making sure a project is delivered on time, on budget and within scope. Project Managers within DE&S/SDA are key to successful and timely delivery of safe and effective equipment to Front Line Commands and their service personnel. Every day we play a functional part of making this happen, and that is ultimately what is important.

We operate a hybrid working environment. It is expected that you will attend the site approximately three days per week. However, this cannot be guaranteed as some roles may require a greater attendance to site. Initially you will be expected to the attend more frequently to familiarise yourself with the specific site, the team and the product you will be working on in more detail.
