Lancaster University Students' Union provides excellent services and opportunities to support and inspire our diverse population of over 15,000 students to make the most of their experiences at University. Following a review of the support available within the SU for our student groups, this department has been reimagined- pulling together a focus on Societies, Student Media, and student communities- and in particular refreshing and enhancing our engagement and support of JCRs (Junior Common Rooms- student communities based in each of our 9 colleges). As a result, we are now looking for a confident, proactive manager to lead the departments work and realise our vision.
They will be responsible for managing the strategic and day-to-day operations of a team who support approx. 200 student groups to deliver multiple activity programmes, training and development opportunities, high level events and conferences.
We are looking for a skilled communicator, an experienced manager of frontline services who values variety, drives innovation, and is energised by the challenges of delivering a wide range of activities. The job will suit someone who is decisive, organised, skilled at event and risk management and passionate about engaging a diverse range of students.
