Summary
We are seeking to appoint a committed individual capable of supporting the provision of a high-quality support service to work directly with pupils to provide support to overcome particular obstacles to learning in relation to behaviour and attendance. The ideal candidate will have experience of working within a similar role and will be able to demonstrate the skills required to deliver a high standard of work in a fast-paced environment.<
The successful candidate will be a team player, eager and willing to contribute to all aspects of improving attendance and able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. Knowledge of computer-based systems is essential, as is the ability to multi-task and work with high levels of tact, confidentiality and discretion.<
Main duties of the role will include:
- Liaise with teaching staff to assess and provide particular support to targeted pupils to raise achievement and enable them to overcome barriers to learning
- Work in a one-to-one relationship with targeted pupils to implement an action plan
- Work with parents / carers to help address poor performance/attendance/behaviour
- To monitor absence daily through first day response and follow up as necessary with phone calls and home visits, keeping accurate records
Hours: 8am - 4pm Mon - Thurs 8am - 3.30 Friday
37 hours per term time plus 5 days

Essential Qualifications
English and Maths GCSE (or equivalent) (A* - C grades)
Additional qualifications NVQ L3 or above in child care & development.
