Are you ready to join us? What you'll be doing:
As a Trainee Underwriter, you'll be dealing with customers, providing excellent service and working to business targets. This will involve building relationships and speaking confidently with people over the phone. As well as providing administration support within the team, you'll learn how to underwrite new and existing business profitably, accurately and in line with established Underwriting practice. The role will be working within a team dealing with a specific facility, whilst supported and part of our wider commercial fleet team, which ultimately allows for longer term career progression.
Most of all, you'll take pride in the service you offer to all customers and partners. At AXA we're adopting a Hybrid way of working, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the Leeds or Manchester offices in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers.

Entry Requirements: This might be the right opportunity if you’re looking to make a career change, OR you might have completed your studies and looking for that great opportunity to utilise your skills. Whatever your circumstances, we want to hear from you. However, we ask for a minimum entry requirement of A level or equivalent in numerical subjects (Maths, Science, Economics, Business, Accounting etc).
This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.
