Tuthill Porsche is based in Oxfordshire, our workshops regularly take on complete restoration projects, including bespoke road cars. All aspects of Porsche rebuilds are carried out in-house, from engine and transmission builds to rust repair, metal fabrication, roll cage installation and full body & paint. We are synonymous with the world’s most successful historic Porsche rally cars and having worked with rallying’s greatest names.
An exciting new position has become available Tuthill Porsche. Providing the opportunity to work for a company who cares about their employees, working with a friendly team in our state of the art building. We are looking for a Car Build Technician to join the team, this is an additional position due to workshop expansion, to satisfy an ever-increasing demand to build and maintain Porsches from all generations.
The working hours for this position are Monday to Friday 08:00-17:00 with a 45 minute lunch break.
Job Purpose:
- To Build and rebuild bespoke road cars to the highest level
- To problem solve and diagnose faults with minimum supervision
- Event support (optional)
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble cars to the required standard
- Ensuring timely delivery
- Building full vehicles, classic to new build
- Following build quality control processes
- Working with a team of technicians on a range of projects
- Consulting on and resolving build and quality issues as they arise
- Complying with all safe systems of work processes in an automotive assembly environment
- Opportunity to attend and support automotive events
Experience and Skills Required:
- Previous car build experience is essential, restoration work is desirable
- Experience working on Porsches of all ages and types would be an advantage
- Building of bespoke cars to an extremely high level
- Excellent workshop knowledge & technical skills
- High attention to detail
- The ability to communicate effectively and resolve problems quickly and efficiently
- Good communication, organisation and inter-personal skills
- Be flexible and possess a good sense of humour
- Be able to manage your time and prioritise your workload
- Full Driving Licence
