We are pleased to offer this exciting opportunity to come and join our team at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading. We have recently been accredited as a GOOD hospital following CQC inspection and are looking to employ a dynamic, confident, motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the Orthopaedic Therapies team as a Physiotherapy Assistant supporting the Physiotherapy Service for 22.5 hours/week
In this role you work closely with patients, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and other members of the multi-disciplinary team, undertaking an array of responsibilities and tasks to support the smooth running of the Therapies service.
- To be a Physiotherapy assistant working to assist the Physiotherapist in the therapeutic management of patients for the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust Hospital (RBFT)
- Under supervision to facilitate and participate in ongoing patient treatment.
- To work effectively as a team member in carrying out, under direction, exercise and mobility programmes.
- To participate in providing a high quality, effective and efficient physiotherapy service
- Under supervision of a Physiotherapist, provide a range of activities, instructing and guiding patients, individually or in groups, to support them in achieving identified goals and promoting independence.
- To undertake delegated tasks to contribute to the safe and smooth running of the service, including clerical and housekeeping tasks.
To work closely within the Orthopaedic Physiotherapy team and along side the Orthopaedic Multi Disciplinary team to deliver excellent patient centred care, adhering to the Trust CARE values at all times
