What is Golf It!?
The R&A’s purpose is to make golf more accessible, appealing and inclusive and to ensure it is thriving 50 years from now. Golf It! is The R&A’s first golf facility which will open in Glasgow in Summer 2023, will create a new “pathway to golf” that is open and accessible focusing on delivering fun, being community and family orientated. The venue located in the north east of Glasgow will attract a new audience to the game, which will make people challenge everything they thought they knew about golf and inspiring future generations to say ‘I love playing golf’”.
Golf It! will be accessible to people from all walks of life. It will have a 9 Hole Golf Course, a 52 Bay two-tiered Driving Range, 3 Adventure Golf Courses, Park Golf, Simulators and many more activities. There will be a street food outlet, provided by Big Feed Street Food, an onsite Nursery operated by Lullaby Lane and three Padel Tennis Courts operated by Game4Padel. Coaching facilities include Toptracer technology in every bay of the Driving Range, as well as Trackman in our Golf It! simulator. A wide range of facilities to deliver lessons such as, Driving Range, Golf Course, Putting Green, Simulator and Park Golf. Tuition will also be promoted via our booking platform.

About the Role
We are looking for 3 Self-Employed Golf Professionals to join our team at Golf It!. The successful candidates will be required to develop, implement, deliver and promote a wide range of high quality and effective instruction programs aimed at suiting all abilities. The Golf Professionals will work closely with the Head of Golf, positively contributing to the planning and delivery of the tuition timetable, delivering various coaching initiatives run by Golf it! and The R&A. They will be looking at ways to continually improve the Golf It! facility, developing value added services and products for the benefit of customers using the facility.
The successful candidates will be expected to support the promotion of Golf It! with a focus on promoting the core values of making the game accessible, affordable and inclusive. The individuals will proactively interact with customers, promoting Golf It!, the game of golf, and instruction programs that are available. The Golf Professionals will represent Golf It! and The R&A at Golf Events, Tournaments, Exhibitions and Sales Trips as and when required.
The successful candidates should have their PGA Membership or equivalent golf coaching qualifications.
