Day Shifts
8 am - 8 pm = Long Day, 8 am - 2 pm = Morning, 2 pm - 8 pm = Afternoon
We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. As a Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to our residents in a safe, comfortable and caring environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing personal care and support to residents in line with their individual care plan
- Assisting residents with daily living tasks such as washing, dressing, feeding, and toileting
- Encouraging residents to remain as independent as possible whilst providing appropriate levels of support
- Assisting with mobility and providing safe transfers using the appropriate equipment where necessary
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of care provided and observations made
- Building solid relationships with residents and their families, promoting a positive and caring environment
- Assisting with activities and social events to promote resident wellbeing
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents and staff
- Undertaking any other duties as required by the Home Manager.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a care setting is desirable but not essential.
- A compassionate and caring nature, with excellent communication skills
- A patient and understanding approach, with the ability to remain calm under pressure
- A commitment to providing high-quality care and support to residents
- The ability to work well as part of a team
- A willingness to undertake training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays
- A satisfactory DBS check.
