Due to growth, our external sales team are recruiting an Account Manager to support customers across the North of the UK (from the Birmingham to Scotland).
This is a field based role requiring a technical understanding of electronic components, their applications and the UK Distribution/Manufacturing markets. If you have experience with interconnect, passives and electromechanical components (IP & E), then this is the role for you!
We are seeking a self-motivated and target driven individual, someone who can wear different hats and is focused on the customer and finding the right solutions across vertical markets. You will be responsible for the growth of your area through active account management, an element of business development and working with suppliers to qualify and convert new leads within an established account base.
Our new colleague will be experienced in driving sales growth and improved profitability. Someone who is commercially savvy and customer focused, passionate about being part of a team which works collaboratively and is always looking for innovation.
You will be a team player, someone who communicates effectively, builds trust quickly and who has strong commercial background. In this role you can work independently and exercise judgment and discretion but will also work with internal teams, applications engineers and other internal and external functions within the wider organisation.

What You Will Be Doing:
  • You will be the primary point of contact for the customer interface to the company's resources that drives and supports high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty, as measured in surveys and share of wallet.
  • Developing strong, strategic relationships with customer(s) to identify and leverage the customers’ business goals, growth strategies and profit drivers to deliver the appropriate business value proposition sales solution strategy.
  • Providing leadership and guidance in critical customer planning and engagement.
  • Performing critical customer analysis to identify and leverage the partner’s marketing programs to achieve growth in their customer’s solutions capability.
  • Engaging customer(s) in joint planning that integrates the company's services, programs and supplier partnerships securing customer commitment for the development of a comprehensive investment in strategies that advance the company’s market position, entanglement and financial goals
  • Conducting regular business reviews with assigned accounts to track progress toward revenue and growth goals and owns execution of business plan.
  • Maintaining and monitoring pipeline and metrics for assigned customers, performs analysis and identifies improvement opportunities.
  • Supporting supplier's strategies by aligning solutions with customer to maximize profitable growth, and customer expansion.
  • Prioritizing customers and opportunities with greatest potential for success.
  • Closely managing profitability by minimizing profit leaks and maximizing gross profit.
  • Other duties as assigned.
