Job Description
Role
The Business Development Officer will be responsible for growing the DropPoint network: reaching out to and onboarding charities and non-profits to our donation directory and promoting the use of our courier services for which there is commission available. The role will be an initial 8-16 hours per week, £14.50 p/h, on an initial 3-month contract, with a look to extend if the candidate delivers sustainable growth.
Tasks
– Contact charities and other non-profits and assist them to sign up and list in the donation directory
– Optimise our charity pages to maximize potential donation opportunities
– Gather insight into how charities want to use our platform
– Document potential new leads into existing warm and cold lead databases
– Resolve and improve charity sign up & service processes
Goals
– Increase the volume of donations to our existing charities
– Increase the volume of new charities signing up in our donation directory
– Increase the volume of our courier service usage
– Promote Gift in Kind donations across the UK & the rest of the world
Incentives

The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, be friendly, be confident and outgoing, confident about applying their skills to support our planet and its people. Experience working within the charity sector or a similar role would be an advantage.
