We’re looking for an epos (electronic point of sale) developer to join us and help to plan, design, develop, and launch efficient systems and solutions in support of our core epos functions. In this role, you’ll support and develop our epos systems, optimising performance, resolving problems, and following up on all issues and solutions. What you’ll do
- own the ongoing development and maintenance of the Nisa epos solution
- diagnose and resolve system and database access and performance issues
- coordinate with tech colleagues to identify, develop, and implement solutions to program errors
- manage application development in support of business operations
- provide technical updates to the development manager
- liaise with network administrators, trainers, and testers to assist with quality assurance, program logic, and data processing
- make sure the appropriate functional policies, procedures, and quality assurance best practices are adhered to
This role would suit people who have
- strong Microsoft development stack experience (e.g. C#.Net / ASP.Net)
- experience of SQL & TSQL (i.e. stored procedures, functions, triggers) development on a Microsoft SQL server express platform
- experience using web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript & jQuery and/or WPF-based solutions
- good communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
- the ability to manage your workload effectively; prioritising and executing tasks to specific deadlines
- the ability to work within a team-oriented, collaborative environment
