For further information, please visitInternational NQP Guide Once you are here you will complete a comprehensive transition to UK Practice programme before being enrolled in to the NQP (Newly Qualified Paramedic) programme. During this process you are supported and guided to build a e-portfolio whilst working alongside our incredible experienced front-line staff where you will develop your skills and gain valuable experience. Once you have completed the transition to UK practice programme you will be expected to carry out paramedic duties as part of an operational crew on a rapid response vehicle. You will be working within scope of practice and adhering to protocols, procedures, SOPs and clinical guidelines, seeking appropriate clinical advice and/or support as required. You will aim to reduce inappropriate demand for emergency services by referring patients to appropriate health and social care agencies in response to emergency/urgent calls not requiring hospital attendance, seeking appropriate clinical advice and support as required. International NQP applicants must also have the ability to deal with stressful and sensitive situations whilst being highly motivated and enthusiastic. We offer: Starting salary of a Band 5, with the opportunity to progress to a Band 6 experienced Paramedic upon completion of the transition to practice programme and a minimum of 300 hours preceptorship and ongoing CPD training. Training opportunities to become part of our Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) or Special Operations Response Team (SORT) You will need a full driving licence that you can convert to a UK driving licence upon arrival to the UK. Assist in delivering a flexible ambulance service response crossing professional boundaries as necessary and strengthening the delivery of unscheduled care seeking clinical advice and/or support as required Ensures a continuous duty of care to patients to the required HCPC Standards of Proficiency and within the scope of practice and competency of this role, ensuring an appropriate level of monitoring and treatment is maintained until the patient is either discharged, referred or transferred on the advice of an experienced paramedic or handed over to the the care of another healthcare professional and agency.
